We continue to support the University of Nottingham with a wide range of ongoing maintenance, compliance and improvement works across the estate. With a dedicated team permanently based on campus, we can deliver reactive works, planned programmes and tendered projects efficiently, maintaining close coordination with university stakeholders across multiple live sites.
Current and Upcoming Projects
Nottingham Events Car Park
Work commenced January 2026, immediately after Christmas break on the resurfacing of the Beeston Halls car park. The project includes approximately 5,000 m² of new tarmac surfacing, together with line marking for around 155 parking spaces. In addition, permanent specialist marquee anchor points will be installed in the ground to allow the continued use of this area for the University’s twice-yearly graduation ceremonies. This scheme is being delivered for Nottingham Venues, a separate business operating within the university estate, establishing a new client relationship alongside our ongoing work with the University.
Physics Building – Retaining Wall Construction
Construction has begun on a 50 m x 2 m engineered retaining wall to the rear of the Physics Building, forming part of wider site management and infrastructure improvement works.
Engineering Building – Compliance Works
Compliance upgrades will be undertaken to the Engineering Building. Over 100 linear metres of existing handrail and balustrading will be modified or replaced to address height issues and bring installations up to current standards.
Re-Roofing Preparatory Works
Preparatory works are underway to address damaged structural roofing elements at the Sir Clive Granger Building. These works form part of a longer-term programme, with a full roof replacement scheduled for spring 2026. Hopefully, we will continue our involvement as the project progresses though this is unknown at present.
Conference Centre – Hotel Roof Works
Investigatory and remedial roofing works are currently being carried out to the Conference Centre hotel buildings, ensuring ongoing weatherproofing and building performance.
Alongside larger projects, our team continues to deliver maintenance and support work across the campus, recently including fencing repairs concrete repairs, installation of traffic control bollards at various sites within campus, and asbestos surveys at Broadway House and associated outbuildings.
