We haven’t moved far, but Allsopp Construction has a new home.
We’ve recently moved into new offices at our existing site. Our address hasn’t changed we’ve moved to a different part of the site and given the offices an upgrade.
We now have air conditioning which has been a god send in recent weeks, a new meeting room and kitchen from Steven Christopher. We use the guys at Steven Christopher regularly on our residential projects, so when it came to our own kitchen, we knew where to go (and we may have called in a favour!).
We’ve gone for all mod cons too, including a built-in coffee machine and hot water tap – not bad for a bunch of builders.
One of our favourite details has to be the Narnia-style doors into the staff loos. Not something we get to specify on many construction projects, but we love them.
We’ve also replaced the windows, which means there’ll be no more taping boards over them to keep the cold out this winter. It’s fair to say the old offices were ready for some attention.
Staying on the same site made sense for us. We’ve got a good-sized yard outside as well as separate storage and archive space, and it has been our base for many years.
As a construction company, we’re usually talking about improvements we’re making to other people’s buildings, so it’s been good to turn our attention to our own for a change.
We’re settling in well and enjoying the new offices and, importantly, customers, suppliers and contractors can still find us at the same address.
