Woodlands Update: Nearing Completion!
We’re thrilled to share the latest progress on our Woodlands project in Draycott in the Clay, Staffordshire, as it enters its final stages.
Originally a distinctive 1970s family home, Woodlands has undergone an extraordinary transformation since planning approval was secured in 2022. The L-shaped property has been extended on three sides—front, rear,
and side—and now features a sleek standing seam aluminium roof, known for its durability, lightweight design, weather resistance, and sustainability.
The front elevation boasts an angled gable finished with Swiss Pearl Patina cladding boards, creating a striking and modern aesthetic.
Here’s a glimpse of what’s been achieved so far:
- Triple Garage: Now complete, featuring a first-floor gym, shower room, bar, and storage areas. The gym opens onto an expansive porcelain patio, elevated 2 metres above ground level due to the property’s elevation. This patio includes a sunken 5.8m x 2.4m swim spa and hot tub, offering stunning views.
- Seamless Connection: A glazed link with a floating staircase connects the garage to the main house.
- Inside the House: The bathrooms and bedrooms are finished, and the kitchen is complete with a standout feature—the unique ‘Narnia’ cupboard, a hidden entrance to the utility and boot room cleverly disguised within a kitchen unit. The master bedroom also features two triangular balconies.
- Sustainability: The roof includes sunken, in-line solar panels with a backup battery system, ensuring the home generates its own power and contributes to the grid.
- External Features: The entrance and gates are finished, while final landscaping, staircase completion, and minor details are still underway.
With a total size of 4,000 sq ft, Woodlands is just weeks away from its grand reveal. We can’t wait to share the final result of this remarkable project—stay tuned!
