We’re pleased to welcome Steve Wooddisse as Project Manager for our Almshouse refurbishment project with The Liversage Trust.
With over 36 years of experience in construction, Steve began his career as a bricklayer before progressing into site management. Since then, he has successfully delivered increasingly complex projects, building a wealth of practical knowledge and leadership expertise.
Now taking on his next challenge, Steve brings both energy and experience to this significant heritage project; an approach that reflects the values we pride ourselves on at Allsopp Construction.
Outside of work, Steve is a family man who enjoys spending time with his children and is eagerly anticipating his first grandchild this August. He also enjoys gardening and running, having completed the Great North Run and now training for the Great South Run later this year.
We’re delighted to have Steve leading the Almshouse Project.
About the Project
A £3 million contract to deliver the refurbishment and modernisation of the historic Liversage Trust Almshouses on London Road in Derby.
The 18-month programme will involve the sensitive refurbishment and reconfiguration of the Grade II listed buildings, originally dating back to 1836. The works will enhance living standards.
The internal layout will be reconfigured transforming 23 units into 17 larger homes and converting former Trust offices into residential accommodation.
The external appearance of the buildings will remain unchanged. It will be repaired and restored, improving its condition and appearance while retaining its original character.
The project also includes full renewal of services, all delivered in line with strict conservation and heritage requirements.
