We have been awarded a new medical centre refurbishment project in Swadlincote at Swadlincote Medical Centre on Darklands Road.
We are delighted to be taking on this local project right on our doorstep while strengthening our presence within the healthcare sector.
Following more than 12 months of discussions with the practice manager, the project has now received sign-off for NHS Trust funding and is ready to begin on site.
The works will involve the conversion of the existing archive storage area. The practice’s archives have been fully digitised freeing up space for two new consultation rooms helping the surgery expand its services and increase the number of patients it can accommodate.
This project came to us via a recommendation, which is always nice and reflects the trust clients place in our team and the quality of our work.
The medical centre had already developed a clear design brief for the space. Each room is being built to meet healthcare guidelines, including the required 9ft x 12ft consultation room dimensions and all necessary specification standards.
The project includes a small amount of demolition, new partition walls, doors, windows, and the full fit-out of each consultation room, including cabinetry and sinks.
We will have a core team of 3 on-site for the project, over the 5 week scheduled programme, with the new rooms expected to be fully operational by the end of May.
